No - this is not my house . . .

This photo was part of a creativity exercise I did a while ago which was a study of light, shadow and textures. This is one of a group of rental cottages in Truro, MA which is here on Cape Cod. Check out the slide show for more pics.

Easel Box Card

I decided to try an easel box because I needed a little gift box for one of my Goddaughters. The instructions for the easel box is at Joani’s Cards Made by Hand
This is also my submission for this week’s Mother Marks Teapot Tuesday’s challenge over at Split Coast Stampers MMTPT100.  You can also read the challenge story on her blog "This Is My Story".  Mother Mark is a hoot!

Here is my story:

So Silly Sydney is all gaga (that’s not Lady Gaga {snort}) over Kahuna Kai, leaving her little sister Suzie to gather seashells all by herself. Suzie has collected so many – at least 42000 - she needs her apron to hold them all (Suzie is a very old-fashion girl). Sydney can be as silly as she wants over some stupid boy (Suzie is VERY young and has not grown to appreciate the appeal of a hunky hunk like Kahuna) but Suzie is going to enjoy every barefoot moment at the beach! She loves the warm sand between her toes, the smell of the salt air, the sound of the waves crashing on the beach and the gulls calling overhead. The sea grass makes a lovely rustling sound when the breezes blow and it makes Suzie want to stay there forever. Humph! If that Sydney doesn’t get her mind off of Kahuna soon, Suzie thinks she is going to need to throw 42000 seashells at Sydney so she better start collecting more so there is still some left to take home.

For my other goddaughter I tried out this cute little gift box/bag  - called a 2-5-7-10 box after where your folds go - that I found on SCS Resources.  No story with this . . . the image is one of the digi images from Arthur's Free Clipart

Hope you enjoy these!  TFL!
