No - this is not my house . . .

This photo was part of a creativity exercise I did a while ago which was a study of light, shadow and textures. This is one of a group of rental cottages in Truro, MA which is here on Cape Cod. Check out the slide show for more pics.

A little bit of this, a little bit of that . . .

Just thought I would share a couple of cards I made over the last week.  Two are for Mudder Marks Teapot Tuesday challenges that use a teapot and a story for inspiration.
This first one was for petticoats bloomers and tea which had us bringing petticoats or bloomers (aka flowers) to the party.  This also used a sketch challenge from SCS from 2 weeks back.

Image - Inakadinkado Floral Expressions set; Background papers Die Cut with a View - the floral paper is also glittered, Aqua adhesive gems - Queen & Co.

The next one was for this weeks tea party where we were creating cards to send to a 10 year old boy who is pretty ill right now.  He loves baseball and plays on a team who are so devoted to their friend that they all shaved their heads when his chemo caused his hair to fall out!  So the story is about Boscoe the baseball playing basset hound and his Bad News Basset Hounds team.
Image is a cut and paste of two images off the internet - a cute ball player from Arthurs Clip Art and a basset hound from a free coloring book page of cats and dogs. I colored them with copics. Sentiment is Fiskars All Year Greetings, Baseball background paper was a baseball picture off the internet.
Now he has a whole story - which I try to do for most of "Da Mudder's" challenges:

This is Billy Basset the best baseball basset hound to be found! He catches. He throws. He bats. He’s great all around!  He is going to try to help out the Bad News Basset Hounds (Hmmmmmm I thought that was Bad News Bears)

He heard about Boscoe's plight and thought he needed to support a fellow baseball playing basset hound. So he grabbed his glove and ran down to the ball field . . . this one was FILLED with baseballs (giggle) . . . and found that the team was struggling at the bottom of the nineth against those darn cat playing Purrrrrrfect

The score was 2 to 1 but there was a cat at second, there was only 1 out and the Purrrrrrfect Players' best batter was up - YIKES! Billy ran out to replace the center fielder and when the next batter came up - POW - a line drive came right at Billy! He grabbed it and threw to first where Bosco was - OUT! Boscoe went to throw to second but Queenie was there chewing on a bone one of those darn cats had snuck in to distract the Bad New Basset players - suddenly Boscoe sees that Billy has already run in to 2nd base - Boscoe throws to Billy and Billy tags the player there out! Billy saved the play!!! The Bad News Bassethounds win!
Finally, this last card was just because.  I received this image in a humor image swap I was in this summer with my Yahoo group - Club_StampPatch.
I have no idea whose image it is (sorry) or sentiment as it was sent in the swap with no ID.  I colored her with copic ciao markers.  I used Nestiblities for oval; Cuttlebug EF; and not sure about the DP (thats what I get for taking apart the stack to store in my DP case).

Gale, all your cards are so pretty. The blue one is so pretty with the paper piecing and lovely images on blue.

The baseball player doggie, is just hilarious and the background of baseballs, wow, very creative and fun. Andrew will be just loving this one.

And last but not least I have this image also from a RAK and you sure made me laugh with the sentiment and smiley on the cup!

Cool work. Always fun to see you at the teapot party of course.
