No - this is not my house . . .

This photo was part of a creativity exercise I did a while ago which was a study of light, shadow and textures. This is one of a group of rental cottages in Truro, MA which is here on Cape Cod. Check out the slide show for more pics.

Triple Challenge - Hot Diggity Dog!

Today's card was for three challenges: This week’s KennyK’s Krafty Girlz Challenge #10 to use embossing (dry or heat) ; Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #70 (Just managing to squeak this one in); and of course Teapot Tuesday’s Challenge MMTPT111 “It's the Fast and the Furriest! Aren't You Just A Tad Bit Curious?” where we are handling car racing dogs and all the support team that goes with racing cars fast (go fast, turn left).

Image: KennyK Downloads (this was July’s free image) colored with copics and highlighted with white gel pen; Cuttlebug swiss dot EF; DP is DCWV; Pearls are Queen & Co. Leaves are free wingding cut with SCAL on cricut. MS border punch. Tea cup and flowers were from my stash. I used a tiny bit of green Elmer’s 3D glue with glitter for the relish on the hot dog.  Sentiments were computer generated.

Here is "my" story:
Danny Dogvito is a dashing daschette hound with brains and wit. He heard the word about the race and decided that with all those dogs and teapot partying ladies coming, they were going to be looking for fast food to go with their fast cars! Danny dug up an old hot dog cart (he’s so smart) and after prepping and cleaning it (no dirty water dogs for this wiener), Danny ordered up 42,000 cases of frankfurters, 42,000 cases of buns and a whole bunch of mustard and relish! His sign on his cart reads “Teapot Tuesday’s Race Day Dogs”! Now someone suggested he get one of those bun costumes to wear for advertising his wares, but he said no way Jose! Jose, is his cousin who was the understudy for the Taco Bell dog and Jose suggested that the best advertising was showing a happy customer eating a hot dog, hoping Danny would pick him and he would get another shot at fame. But Danny is no dumb dog, and following in the footsteps of marketing greats like Frank Perdue, Col. Sanders and Orville Redenbacher, Danny set up his own shot for his Teapot Tuesday’s Race Day Dogs with the slogan “Hot Diggity Dog! It’s Teapot Tuesday (relish the fun)!”
